                             really seems rather thrown into the whole
                              sermon.  Sort of like a patchwork quilt. “

          Rosalind looks up from the crumpled piece of paper to let her
          eyes settled on the man’s broad frame, a frown twisting thin
          lips as she waits patiently for some sort of response from him.
          It was never her intention to get roped into reading over his ser-
          mon for the next day when she’d brought over the plans for the
          city that morning, and yet here she was three hours later, coat
          draped over the back of the kitchen chair as she executes the
          “favor” he’d requested of her as diligently as ever.  The woman
          knew that she had no real authority about his sermon, and per-
          haps he was quite aware of that as well, but she supposed that
          he liked getting a non-biased opinion on the lectures he gave.
